What are your favorite shoes for CrossFit?
I recently picked up a pair of Reebok CrossFit Nano 4.0 Training Shoes to be used during my CrossFit and Beachbody workouts. I never gave much thought to picking out a better pair of shoes for training, until I started having knee problems. Sharp little pains would occur every so often, right underneath my knee caps. Then they got more frequent, until I finally went to see my doctor.
He had asked what shoes I was using for my workouts, and I mentioned they were a pair of Adidas Superstars basketball shoes, I’d had for a number of years now. He said thats what my problem was, my shoes. After doing some research, and visiting a number of CrossFit forums, I realized my old shoes were not giving me the proper support and cushioning I needed during all of the plyometric exercises I was performing, day in and day out. As a result, my knees were acting as a shock absorb-er, much more than they should have been doing with proper footwear.
After looking at reviews after reviews, I settled on the Reebok Crossfit Nano 4.0, in bright yellow. I’ll never go back… These shoes are great! I can’t believe how much more energetic my workouts have become since switching to the correct footwear. They are much lighter, while provided a substantially greater cushion and balance to my workouts. At just over 10 ounces, they almost disappear on your feet as the workout progresses. Now they are not as light as the minimus type shoes, but much lighter than a basketball shoe, in which I was using. In addition, my sharp, nagging knee pain has all but vanished since using my new Nano 4.0’s. Theses shoes offer firm balance, and solid footing for all of the WOD’s, runs and other exercises you do on a daily basis.

Asics Gel-Ventures, hands down best shoes I’ve ever owned
I think the crossfire nanotechnology 4s are the most practical crossfit shoe on the market
agreed! nano 4.0’s are fantastic. the 2.0’s were good, 3.0’s were ok. I’ve had a pair of each, I tend to wear them out quickly. I love my 4.0s
The Nano’s are good. The Nano 3.0 was a much better shoe in my opinion, thats what i’m still using. just bought another pair actually
