What motivates you to get up and the morning and face the day? What motivates you to do that next workout, that next mile, that next interval? What motivates you not to quit, not to give up, and ultimately, not to fail? I’d love to know….and so would others. Why do you do the things you do, and what drives you to be better?
Everyone has their differing reasons. Some have an internal fire, that simply cannot be put out, while others struggle with just getting out of bed and jumping on the treadmill every morning.
Currently, I’m in a slump. I know what I have to do, but I’m struggling to find the energy/motivation/determination that I have had in the past. I suppose this is a common thing among people, once they have been doing some sort of activity, day in, day out, for years on end. You simply get, burnt out. And, that’s where I’m currently sitting at this juncture. I need to get my ass up, get back down in the gym and just DO IT!
